If you want to start fresh, Pawgloo currently provides the option to delete your account permanently. Temporary account deactivation is a planned experience and is not currently available.
Deletion and planned deactivation
It’s important to understand what happens to your pet’s data. The Deactivate column below describes a future concept that is not live. The Delete column describes the current account-deletion flow.

Planned experience, not live
Deactivate your account
Account deactivation is a planned future concept and is not currently available in the Pawgloo App. The steps and login-to-restore behavior below do not describe a live account-management choice.
Deactivating is the best option if you just want to hide your pet’s “Pawprints” and profile for a while. You can come back and pick up right where you left off at any time.
- Open the Pawgloo App.
- Tap on your Profile in the bottom right.
- Tap the Settings (gear icon).
- Select Account Management.
- Tap Deactivate Account.
- Confirm your choice.
When your account is deactivated, your profile and your pets’ profiles will not be visible to other pet parents. Your data remains safe on our secure servers.
Delete your account
Deleting your account is permanent. The deletion process starts immediately after you confirm the destructive action, and there is no recovery period. The current flow removes many matchmaking collections, associated secure cloud storage objects such as pet photos, the profile, and the base user record. This means pet photos and matchmaking or playmate history are affected.
The current deletion Lambda does not perform a complete cascade across every Pawgloo system. Booking, rating, report, Stream, and our secure authentication provider records are documented as untouched by this deletion flow.
- Open the Pawgloo App.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings gear icon.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Complete the destructive confirmation to delete your account.
Warning: Deleting your account is final. Deletion starts immediately, and you cannot log back in to cancel or recover the account. A grace period is only an undecided proposal and is not part of the live experience. This flow does not erase every record in every system. Booking, rating, report, Stream, and our secure authentication provider records are not deleted by the current Lambda, and some records may be retained longer where the law requires. our Privacy Policy for information about data retention.
